Hoodz of Minneapolis

Founded in 2025 by Zachary and Jacob Johnson, Hoodz of Minneapolis (“Hoodz-MN”) is a commercial kitchen exhaust and hood cleaning company based in the Webber-Camden neighborhood of North Minneapolis. Operating under the nationally recognized HOODZ brand, the company provides specialized cleaning and maintenance services that help restaurants and commercial kitchens meet safety and compliance standards. Hoodz-MN was established to address a growing local demand for these services while creating economic opportunity within the community it serves.

Venn's PRI is supporting Hoodz-MN as it builds and expands its operations in North Minneapolis. The investment provides flexible capital that allows the company to grow its customer base, invest in equipment and workforce development, and establish a strong foundation for long-term success.

Hoodz-MN plans to create up to 30 quality jobs over its first five years of operation. Through HOODZ International's workforce development program and partnerships with local nonprofit organizations, the company provides training and career opportunities for individuals who may face barriers to employment, including veterans, people with disabilities, and individuals seeking a pathway back into the workforce after incarceration. Looking ahead, the company envisions further investment in its property to support workforce training and housing opportunities.

The primary purpose of Venn's investment is to foster economic development in a historically underserved urban community and expand opportunities for low-income and disadvantaged individuals. By supporting a locally owned business committed to workforce development and inclusive hiring practices, Venn's investment helps strengthen the local economy while creating pathways to stable employment and long-term economic mobility in North Minneapolis.
