Minnesota Children’s Museum

Traveling Exhibits

Since it first opened in 1981, Minnesota Children’s Museum (MCM) has been sparking children’s learning through play.  It serves more than 500,000 visitors each year at its St. Paul and Rochester locations.  MCM is consistently rated as one of the top children’s museums in the country.

MCM is also the nation’s leading developer of traveling children’s museum exhibits, which have reached more than 30 million children and adults across North America.  MCM’s traveling exhibits further MCM’s mission while also providing a sizeable earned revenue stream of more than $1 million annually.  MCM sees expanding its traveling exhibits as a powerful way to increase its impact while also generating profit to subsidize its other programs and operating expenses.

Venn’s PRI will provide MCM with generous, below-market financing to support the design phase of its next traveling exhibit, which will be launched in the summer of 2020.
